Marriage Bridges: Building Godly Marriages to Withstand the Weight of the World
Teacher: Andee Courson
In a world where the pressures and stresses of everyday living take their toll on marriages, couples desire to be equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to enrich their marriages and to prevent a collapse from the weight of the world. Standing at the alter, we all had a picture of what our marriage would look like. The problem is this picture of marriage results in expectations that we unload on our spouse. The weight of these expectations can rob your marriage of love and joy. As a spouse you never feel like you measure up and you never feel like you are good enough. So what are you to do with your expectations? You can’t deny them, because most expectations started our as God-given desires.
In this class you will learn how to transform expectations and look to God if you are to experience marriage as it was designed. Whether you are newly married, married for a century or two, or nearing your 50th wedding anniversary, it is never too late to equip yourself with new skills to make your marriage even better! curriculum
Defenders: Answers to Difficult Questions about God and the Christian Faith
Teacher: Scott Moore
Can we prove that God exists? Does science disprove the existence of God? If God is real, why is there so much evil in the world? What is God like? Do human beings have souls, or are we just cells and atoms? With so many religions in the world, how can we be sure that Christianity is the only true faith? Is the Bible reliable? If God knows what I am going to do tomorrow, am I truly free to make my own decisions? If God knows what’s best for me, and has my best interests in mind, why should I pray to Him?
We all have questions. That’s what the field of apologetics is all about. Christians and non-Christians alike can benefit from being able to ask, and seek answers to tough questions. This course is essential for young believers who want to be able to defend their faith against intellectual objections.
